Betio Game Fishing Club

Betio Game Fishing Club was formed back in the 1980s for the leisure and recreation of a few Betio friends. It is a "not for profit" club and all membership fees go towards the trophies that are awarded during the Annual Awards Night Dinner.

The Betio Game Fishing Club has now flourished into a lively club which holds monthly fishing tournaments amongst the keen energetic members.The 'Board', located at the Captains Bar - Takoronga, is updated during this tournament weigh-in.

A point system described in the rules determines winner of the month which in turns adds up to an annual winner at the end of the year.

The BGFC consists of four committee members which run the club with the support of its members. Current members as of 2010 are approximately 30 with more joining every month.
