Betio Game Fishing Club

The 2008 Awards night was an evening to remember. Fisherman of the year Derek Andrewarthur and crew of XXXX received their award to the strains of 'Eye Of The Tiger' of rocky fame.

Other big winners of the evening were Martin Tofinga with his huge and unbeatable Giant Trevally.

Charlie Copeland snuck in for his usual and mandatory couple of awards and who can forget "Shark Boy" aka Steve Henry who also picked up a couple of awards.

Special thanks for the night go to One Stop and Captains Bar for providing a generous serving of food and beverage delights.

Another Special mention must be made for "DJ Dan" aka Danial Rochford for his exeplary talents as an Ipod DJ. His talent let the party carry on well into the night and was most appreciated by all present.

I look forward to the 2009 awards night and hope that it can be as successful as the last.
